RAMCOA is an acronym for "Ritual Abuse, Mind Control, and Organized Abuse". OEA is the more modern term, which is an acronym for "Organized and Extreme Abuse".These are broad labels for uncommon and rare forms of calculated abuse, meant to control every aspect of the Victim/Survivor's life and to keep them under the control of their abusers. Oftentimes, RAMCOA is generational and/or extra-familial.Each term is slightly different from each other. Mind Control [MC] and Ritual Abuse [RA] are both Organized Abuse [OA], but not all OA is RA or MC. It's best to look at them as a tree with branches, rather than individual terms, where OA is the trunk and sturdy branches, and RA and MC are smaller branches and twigs. OEA is a modern, and more accurate term, for RAMCOA.Organized Abuse, or OA for ease, is a term for abuse that is conducted in an organized manner. It's usually comprised of multiple abusers that work cooperatively, creating, planning, and conducting repeated abused towards one or more victims. This is often done with intent to manipulate them into believing, perpetuating, or completing specific goals. Common examples of OA is often seen in churches, human trafficking, schools, etc.Ritual Abuse, or RA for ease, is a mix of emotional and physical abuse that aims to control behaviors, thoughts, and opinions of victims through the usage of conditioning and cues. The name is derived from Ritualistic Abuse; planned abuse that's preformed repeatedly in the same (or similar) way to achieve an end goal. This form of abuse is often spiritual and religious in nature, though it doesn't have to be, and can have hierarchies within their groups.Mind Control, or MC for ease, in a shortened term for "Torture-Based Mind Control", and is often referred to as "Programming". This starts when the victim is a young child, where they're tortured repeatedly to cause a System of dissociated parts, often known as a DID system, that will function to suit the abuser's needs. Triggers will be implemented by handlers to bring specific parts out at specific times and cue different behaviors. The amnesia that comes with DID will be used to the handlers' and abusers' advantages, and will be used to further hide the system from itself. MC, unlike RA and OA, cannot (typically) be used on teenagers or adults, as DID is a core component to MC functions.

Handlers, also known as Programmers, are abusers that carry out programming.Systems that were created via TBMC will often have internal handlers/programmers, which are alters created in programmed DID systems. They will keep the programming in check, and will automatically program new splits that split without the external handlers'/programmers' knowledge.

Callback - Alters with this programming return to the group and/or handlers when triggered, so they may inform them or notable events that have happened either within their system, or general life.Reporter - Alters with this programming spy on or watch over other alters within the system and/or other members of the group, keeping an eye on their behavior(s) to report to the handlers/programmers or higher ranked members of the group when triggered.Military - This programming is modeled after branches of the military, and the ranks of each branch. Alters are typically trained to operate as soldiers. They're often put through strenuous physical activity and poor work/living conditions. Alters with this programming tend to be very patriotic and may believe they're doing good for their country.Duality - This programming creates opposing sides with a system, that battle each other. Common examples are Good and Bad, Black and White, Angels and Demons, Day and Night, etc.Experiment(1) - Alters with this programming treated like laboratory experiments, often locked in cages or rooms for a majority of their time. Alters with this programming will often cruel, painful, and sadistic "tests" run on them by handlers/programmers, who are usually disguised as doctors/scientists.Experiment(2) - An alternative form of Experiment Programming may dehumanize or force certain alters to believe that they're nothing but test subjects for a specific purpose, and can be replaced easily. This alternative programming may be used to make them afraid of medical treatment or care from health professionals.Flood - Alters with this programming are stuck in a constant, active moment of trauma, torture, and/or flashbacks. These alters are brought to front and "flood" the system with flashbacks, rendering them unable to function or think when triggered.Nonverbal - Alters who will lose the ability to speak, or otherwise communicate verbally, or even lose the ability to write or communicate in general when triggered.Shutdown - This programming causes the system to cease functioning entirely when triggered. They will stop moving, speaking, thinking, etc. They will freeze and be unable to do anything until the program has run it's course.Spin - This program is implemented by spinning the victim very fast, several times, until it is implemented into the system's headspace. Designated alters will spin the system when they're triggered, which causes nausea, racing thoughts, panic, and poor balance, as if they were being spun.Scramble - This program causes the system's thoughts to "scramble", making it very difficult (if not impossible) to properly think. There will be designated scrambler alters who are brought to front and cause these feelings, which may result in rapid switching.Narco - This programming causes the victim to fall asleep. This can be used for transporation, memory loss, or may also be implemented with Beta Programming.Amnesia - Alters with this programming will froget anything and everything they've just done, having their memory completely wiped of recent (or desired) events when triggered. These memories are often extremely difficult to reobtain by the system.Addiction - Alters with this programming are programmed to be addicted to a certain substance (whether it's a drug or not), and will experience withdrawal symptoms when unable to use it. This addiction is used to control the alter, and is both a reward and punishment.Princess - Alters with this programming have strict gender roles. They are told they're women (regardless of assigned gender) and that women are meant to do chores, the cleaning, be submissive to men (which may have ties to Beta Programming). They may be programmed to belive they're an actual (or metaphorical) Princess.Prince - Alters with this programming have strict gender roles. They are told they're men (regardless of assigned gender) and that men are meant to be strong, never show emotion, and to be dominant over women (which may have ties to Beta Programming). They may be programmed to belive they're an actual (or metaphorical) Prince.Hierarchy - This is a broad type of programming for headspaces that have a hierarchy implemented with the usage of other programs (Such as Military roles, religious hierarchies, etc).Twin - Two victims, within the system or two different systems, are traumabonded and programmed together. Their programs will mirror each other and they will often be forced to punish each other, reward each other, complete tasks with each other, etc.Intelligence - Alters with this programming are trained to hold knowledge of how they system operates internally, how the group works collectively, secret information. passwords and codes, etc. They will typically have high intellectual abilities that the rest of the system does not have.Go Insane/Insanity - This programming, when triggered, will make the alter feel like they're going insane. They may hallucinate, have flashbacks, violent intrusive thoughts, or even enter a mania-like state.Betrayal - Alters with this programming are taught to believe they cannot trust none another, as they will betray them or otherwise lead them astray. They are punished if they try to form any positive relationship (such a family or friends), and may be tormented bu other alters within as a demonstration of what will happen if they trust anyone within their system.Idol - This programming teaches alters within that they're famous, popular, or even a celebrity of sorts. They need to do things to appease their fans, gain popularity, and keep up their reputation. Handlers/Programmers may be referred to as "Directors" and alters with this programming may be taught to compete with other alters for attention.Innocence - Alters with this programming are forced to have a childish mindset, and are usually little or middle alters. They are made oblivious, or otherwise ignorant, of the trauma and abuse, and are likely unaware of it at all.Scapegoat - Alters with this programming are forced to act out and cause issues on purpose, intentionally forcing them tog et punished by the group and/or handlers/programmers. They're often used as "Bad Examples" for the system, and may even intentionally harm others within their system to cause fear of misbehaving, since they don't want to end up like the Scapegoat alters.

Organization programs are used by Handlers/Programmers to organize alters within the system. They can be tied to other programs, depending on the types used, but not always. It's not uncommon for a system to have several organization programs in different areas of their system.Color - This is a very common organization program. Alters are organized by different colors of the rainbow, each color having a different meaning and bearing on function. These colors may be used to decide name, appearance, and/or parts of their identity. There may be certain shades that have different meanings, or general meanings for each color.Number - This is a very common organization program. Alters are assigned numbers instead of names, and forced to remember it and permanently associate it with themselves. They may be punished for forgetting it or trying ti change it. Number programming is common due to the infinite options, which can vary from simple codes (examples being 01, 002, 033, etc) to longer, distinct strings of information (examples being 689302, 01-973087, AB-97300-8489, etc).Card - This programming assigns different cards from a deck, often a standard playing card deck. Different Suits will have different meanings and different numbers may be used as ranks, from Ace to a King.Dice - This programming uses different colored die with different assigned meanings. The number of sides will also decide meaning, so a d6 will likely differ from a d8, d10, d12, etc. Dice Programming os often, but not always, used alongside Card Programming.Shape - This programming uses different shapes to mean different things, with colors likely playing a role in the meaning as well. A red rectangle will mean something very different compared to a green octagon, or blue circle, etc.Metal - This programming uses different metals as different ranks with different purposes, Platinum and Gold are often at the top.Crystal/Gem/Jewel - This programming uses different Crystals/Gems/Jewels (whichever is your preference) are used for different ranks within the system or programs. The meanings usually come from spiritual associations with the stones.Flower - This programming uses different types of flowers to organize different alters within the system. This could be similar to Color Programming, with several alters being a part of the same flower, or similar to Number Programming, with each flower being assigned to a different alter.Mask - This programming uses different masks on alters that are associated with their programming in any way. They are forced to believe if they ever take off their masks, something horrible will happen (usually death, injury, flashbacks, etc). These masks hide their identity, further dehumanize them, and help Handlers/Programmers have more control over the system. This is not always an organization program, but can be.Chess - This programming assigns two sides of a chess board, with different pieces on their side with in the system. These two sides will often have Duality Programming with one another. There may be a chessboard within headspace, but is not necessary.Chemical - This programming uses different elements on the periodic table to organize alters. Often used on alters with Intelligence Programming or Experiment Programming.

I want preface this other section with a very large trigger warning. This resource contains other programs that are less commonly heard of, as well as the ones listed here.This page may be triggering for programmed systems and may even trigger programming and/or flashbacks, as it has descriptions on how these programs are implemented and more in-depth details of abuse.Please, do not click on this link if any of these are a concern. A Script is a media that's used to help map out the system's headspace, alters, and purposes for the handlers/programmers, similar to how a blueprint maps out how one would build a house. Not every media can be used as a script, and not every system will have a script. These are simply ones that seem to be commonly used.The term "Mini-script" was founded by the community, which is used to describe more simplistic, condensed scripts contained only to a single layer or subsystem. Mini-scripts are used by some groups to implement more scripts in a victim while avoiding clashing, or only keeping to certain groups of alters that are restricted to that script. Mini-scripts are usually medias like short fairytales or myths.Alice in Wonderland - This script is typically split into three sections; Black Alice, White Alice, and Insane Alice. A system scripted with all three is ideal. White Alice makes the system forget the trauma, Black Alice makes the system feel as if they are a danger if they remember the trauma, and Insane Alice forces the system to believe they're making it up or going insane, should they ever remember it.Wizard of Oz - This script is commonly used for Gamma, Omega, and Innocence Programming. The "Yellow Brick Road" is used as a type of Lantern Programming, with alters being told to follow it. Alters are told to search for a place "Over the Rainbow" (which doesn't exist), and handlers/programmers enforce obedience in order to help them achieve this place "Over the Rainbow".Narnia - Information about this Script has not been obtained. If you have any information, please let us know via our contact page.Warrior Cats - This script is most often used by religious groups, as Starclan and Dark Forest play vital parts in scripting and are often used with Duality Programming. Epsilon Programming is very prominent with this script, as the characters from Warrior Cats are cats whom live in the forest, untouched by humans.Historical Events - This scripting is often used with Military Programming, often based around several different events, most commonly being wars or battles of sorts.Religious Texts - These scripts are based around the Bible, Torah, Quran, etc. These are used by religious groups for obvious reasons. These are typically scripted separate parts of the religious texts, as to not make it too complex.

"Isn't this just the same thing as the other Resources Carrd?" - Yes, it is. The reasoning I created this Carrd was because the potential trigger for Omega (or any other programs) on the very front page, which bothered me immensely. I don't think it's appropriate for a Carrd proclaiming to help should have something that could trigger the very thing they're supposedly advocating against. I also wanted to expand on the new acronym (OEA) and fix up some grammatical and formatting mistakes that were very annoying to me, as well as provide a couple more resources. We don't and never will claim anything here is 100% written by us. This is simply a revision."I don't understand a lot of the terms relating to DID, like systems or alters!" - We understand a lot of this language is heavily reliant on knowledge of DID, or even OSDD-1. I found this Plurality Carrd to be a great resource for knowledge on DID that's simplified and easy for people who are new to grasp."I found out what RAMCOA/OEA is and I'm freaking out!! What do I do!!" - Please take a moment to step away and breathe. Learning about horrific abuse and trauma is never easy, whether you're a survivor or not. Take a moment to ground yourself with techniques that work for you. Panicking doesn't mean you're a victim/survivor of RAMOCA/OEA. If you suspect this may be going on, please bring this up with a therapist in a safe, private environment. Online strangers, while they can be someone to vent you if you trust them, are not trained to help with this."What is a Side/Second System?" - Side/Second Systems are a phenomena that are almost exclusive to RAMCOA/OEA Survivors. It's when another system exists within the body, often without knowledge of the primary system. These systems have heavy dissociative barriers between them and the primary system, typically with different purposes for the Handlers/Programmers. They're separate from subsystems. Subsystems are best visualized as a system within a system, while side/second systems are best visualized as something separate."What is a System Reset/Epochal Division?" - These terms describe a phenomena that's almost exclusive to RAMCOA/OEA systems, in which all or most active alters go dormant or are moved to a Side/Second System, and new Alters are brought to front to take their place. This is usually used as an Anti-Therapy defense, but happens through other means as well."What are Screen Memories?" - Screen Memories are a tactic used by handlers/programmers to hide the abuse from victims, providing false memories to explain things that would strike worry. An example would be giving the victim a screen memory where they were playing outside with friends to explain scrapes and bruises on their body, or memories of taking a nap and falling asleep to explain memory gaps they have."How many Scripts can you have?" - Usually, only one to three are implemented in a system. There are exceptions, but systems with more scripts are likely to be dysfunctional and/or have a form of failed programming. Due to this, Handlers/Programmers tend to stick to only one or two, if any. However, there is no set limit, as each system and group will function differently."Is [this thing] indicative of RAMCOA/OEA?" - Not necessarily. While it's true that RAMCOA/OEA Survivors are more likely to have certain Phobias, behaviors, disorders, etc, it doesn't me all RAMCOA/OEA survivors do, or that you exhibiting such behavior means you're a survivor. There's no "RAMCOA/OEA Checklist" that can accurately tell you what you've been through or not."How do I tell if I'm having false memories or not?" - Ultimately, only you (or direct witnesses) can tell you whether a memory is real of not. RAMCOA/OEA is designed to seem strange and/or impossible from an outside perspective, and it's very common for survivors to doubt their memories. If it's safe for you to do so, try looking for physical evidence of things you have memories of going through. Working through memories with a trusted therapist may help."Can programming result in OSDD-1a or OSDD-1b, instead of DID?" - Yes, it is possible, but it's isn't ideal, and typically occurs unintentionally or by accident. These systems are more likely to have failed programming, from what we've seen, due to the lack of severe amnesic barriers. It's also worth noting, that alters may be similar to each other, or have good memory between each other, which may cause them to present as an OSDD-1 system when they are not."[Anything I missed?]" - If there's anything you feel I missed, please go to my contact page!
